When moving home, it is always good to know exactly what documentation required as part of your home exchange process,  and the solid fuel appliance/installation is no exception.

When you are either selling or buying it is important to have to following documentation for your appliance on exchange:
  • Certificate of Compliance
  • Original appliance instructions manual

You must have the original certificate of compliance. This is so that all of the details are shown of the appliance and installation for safety and operational purposes. It is also proof that the work has been carried out meeting Building Regulations and standards.

If the work has been carried out by a HETAS registered installer, then you can contact us HETAS to ask for your certificate to be re-issued.

For non HETAS installations, contact the original installer to ask them for a duplicate certificate. You may be able to contact your Local Authority Building Control Department for support with obtaining a duplicate certificate of compliance.

Original appliance instructions manual
The appliances instruction manual will be enable you to read up on how to use and operate the appliance safely.

If it is lost or misplaced you may be able to obtain a duplicate from the supplier or manufacturer.

Chimney Sweeping Certificate and Servicing Record
